Calendula calendula officialis
It is an important healing herb which contains numerous compounds including carotenoids, flavonoids, tannins, saponins and essential oils. This nourishing cheerful flowers healing powers go back in history, and are considered a magic plant and antiseptic healer of the skin for minor cuts, wounds, inflamed skin promoting skin regeneration. We use calendula flowers in our herbal oil infusions and they make a welcome addition to many of our blends.
Astrologically associated with the sun and the fire element, calendula was believed to imbue magical powers of protection. Flowers strung above doorposts were said to keep evil out and to protect one while sleeping if put under the bed. It was said that picking the flowers under the noonday sun will strengthen and comfort the heart.
Calendula was used in ancient times in India as well, and according to Ayurvedic healing principles is energetically cooling and has a bitter and pungent taste. In Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) calendula is considered energetically neutral and drying and is used to support healthy skin.

Camiella camellia oleifera
This lightweight and silky oil is cold-pressed from the seeds of the tea plant, and known as the "beauty oil" having been used for centuries in Japan to maintain smooth and soft skin. Chamomile chamomilla recutita
A gentle herb known throughout most of the world which has been used continually for many centuries. The flower of equilibrium and traditionally prized for its skin soothing, softening and antimicrobial properties, which are particularly beneficial for soothing inflamed, dry, irritated and sensitive skin. The scent is wonderfully relaxing for the nervous system, calming anxiety and nervousness.
A member of the Asteraceae family, these aromatic herbaceous plants have white daisy like flowers and scent reminiscent of apples or pineapple.Chamomile was used in ancient Egypt and was given as an offering to their gods.
Chamomile possesses what Rosemary Gladstar describes as "soft power" to assuage occasional stress and tension. She suggests not only sipping chamomile tea while bathing in it, but also tucking a chamomile sachet under the pillow at night to promote restful sleep.

Coconut cocos nucifera
A nourishing, easily absorbed moisturising oil, particularly suitable for dry, chapped skin. It contains antimicrobial properties that make is very useful for all manner of skin conditions, however it may clog pores when used on congested skin on the face.
Our organic unrefined coconut oil is truly spectacular with a deep and mildly intoxicating scent of pure coconut pulp. It is one of the most revered oils for nutritional purposes. This is a great oil for general moisturizing and serves as a protective layer, helping to retain the moisture in your skin. Coconut oil is without a doubt, the number one lather-producing agent used in soaps. And is the first choice for most people in the cosmetics and soap industry. Will melt at 76-79 degrees.
This particular oil is raw and unrefined and has a pleasant, full-bodied coconut aroma. If blended within skin care preparations at a high percentage, it may alter the scent of the final product.
Fresh, whole coconuts that are sound and ripe are shelled and then pared to remove the brown skin. The white meat is then milled to fine shreds and dried at a temperature of not more than 100 degrees Fahrenheit for an average of 2 hours and 30 minutes. This does not create a completely dried and useless meat, but rather helps in the evaporation of excess water, which is prevalent in the meat. After drying, the milled coconut is passed through a customized, cold process oil press where the oil is separated from the coconut at a controlled temperature of less than 100 degrees Fahrenheit. The oil is collected in a receiving pan and pumped through a series of filter cloths, which results in a 'clear' coconut oil, known commercially as virgin coconut oil. The filtered virgin coconut oil is temporarily stored in a tank and made to pass through a final filter to remove any detritus left over before it is packed into its final drum.

Comfrey symphytum officinale
Its leaves and roots have been used in traditional medicine for nearly 2000 years for their astringent, soothing and healing benefits. Elderflower Sambucus nigra
Epsom Salt
Epsom salt is principally used in bath salts to promote relaxation. It can be used as a stand alone salt for soaking, or may be blended with essential oils and botanicals for a truly splendid bathing experience. Our epsom salt is of the highest quality, and its coarse texture makes it easy to incorporate them into baths and soaks.
Epsom salt is mainly made up of magnesium and sulfates. Unlike other salts, epsom salt does not leave the skin feeling dry and instead leaves it with a soft and silky texture. Adding magnesium sulfate epsom salts to your bath water makes for a luxurious and relaxing experience for the mind and body. While soaking, try massaging some of the salts over your skin, as this will help to exfoliate and cleanse the skin. For sore feet, add 1/2 cup of epsom salt to a large pot of water. Essential oils, such as Lavender or Rosemary, may be added to enhance relaxation. To make a compress, dissolve 2 cups of epsom salt in hot water, and use this mixture for your compress.
Stores well under most conditions, but high fluctuations in humidity will cause it to cake. Epsom is a granular salt with an average size of 1-2 mm. Fully dissolves in water and blends well with oil.

Evening Primrose Oil Oenothera biennis

Green Clay
Very versatile, good for all skin types, especially good for blemished and oily skin. It literally “drinks” oils, toxic substances, and impurities from your skin. Its toning action stimulates the skin. French green clay is great for helping to clear occasional skin blemishes. Use weekly as part of a complete facial ritual. .
Green clay owes its coloration to two very important factors: iron oxide and decomposed plant matter. That’s right, the natural green tones found in this luxurious clay are from the very cycles of life that the earth uses to regenerate herself. Unlike other clays where key elements work in symbiosis off of each other, French green clay contains several elements which act as their own “body,” meaning that each element is responsible for working the outer epidermis in its own way and in dispensing their biological constituents as best as possible.

Jojoba simmondsia chinensis
Organic jojoba oil comes from the beans of a desert shrub. It is bright and golden in color with a mild ordor, highly valued in beauty for its moisturising and emollient (skin softening) properties and its composition is very similar to the skin's own sebum.
Jojoba oil may become cloudy and solidify as the temperature drops. This is a normal process that occurs from the hardening of the fats and waxes, and it will become stable at or around room temperature. Since Jojoba is not an oil but rather a wax, it has a favorable shelf life and stability.

Marula Oil sclerocarya birrea
Fast-absorbing and nutritive, organic marula oil has been traditionally used for centuries for skin and hair care. The marula tree is indigenous to the South African veldt, the West African Sahel, and Madagascar. This beautiful and leafy tree is drought-resistant and is an important source of food and resources for communities and animals throughout the African continent. A unique characteristic of marula is that it is a dioecious species, which means that each tree has a specific gender. Both male and female trees bloom from September through November which attracts insects who cross-pollinate the flowers. Animals snacking on the fruit also help to propagate the species through the dispersal of seeds.
To create golden marula oil, the fruits are harvested by village collectives and communities, and then the hard, round ‘nuts’ are separated out by hand. The nuts are cracked open to reveal small kernels, which are then slowly cold-pressed to produce the treasured oil.

The largest basin, accounting for 40% of the whole South American continent, is drained by the Amazon and its tributaries, with the Parana System, covering 14.5% of Brazil, being another basin of significance. It is from these basins that our Brazilian clay comes from.

Red Raspberry seed oil rubus idaeus
Our raspberry seed oil has a light aroma that is feels like summer. It is a dry oil and quickly absorbs into skin, leaving behind softness without oily residue. It is great for all skin types, and especially for sensitive and mature skin. Raspberry seed oil is not known to clog pores.
Raspberry seeds contain fatty acids, vitamins, and minerals for the skin. It has phytosterols and vitamins A, C, and is exceptionally high in Vitamin E. Tamanu calophyllum Inophyllum
Natives believed the Tamanu tree was a sacred gift of nature and that gods hid in its branches. It was their answer to skin protection from hot sun, high humidity and ocean wind. Tamanu oil is a remarkable topical healing agent with skin healing, antimicrobial, antibiotic and antioxidant properties.
Our tamanu oil has a deep scent with a bold dark color and because of this it may alter the color and aroma of your cosmetic creations.
The tamanu tree is indigenous to tropical Southeast Asia. It grows up to three meters tall, sporting cracked, black bark and elliptical, shiny leaves. The tamanu tree blooms twice annually with fragrant, white flowers, which later yield clusters of yellow-skinned spherical fruit. The fruit's pulp tastes similar to an apple, within which a large nut is embedded. The nut contains an odorless pale kernel, called punnai in some Pacific areas. This kernel is dried in the sun for two months until it becomes sticky with a dark, thick, rich oil; it must be protected from humidity and rain during drying.
