True Sacred Beauty is not about transformation.
It is about contact
- Contact with skin.
- Contact with breath.
- Contact with Earth.
- Contact with another.
In this contact something natural unfolds...
True Sacred Beauty is not about self improvement.
It is not fixing.
It is not striving toward a better version of yourself.
It is a return to connection/contact.
- Before balm touches skin.
- Before tea warms the throat.
- Before a single word is spoken.
We arrive.
We feel our feet.
We notice our breath.
We sense what is already here.
Relational presence is the invisible thread beneath every offering.
It is the quality of being fully here - with yourself, with another, with Earth/Nature.
Nothing is forced.
Nothing is performed.
In the field of presence.
- Skin is not corrected - it is met.
- Breath is not controlled - it is noticed/felt.
- Nature is not consumed - it is encountered.
This is beauty as contact.
Beauty as reciprocity.
Beauty as aliveness.
Why this matters to me
Most women I meet are holding a lot. They're juggling a hundred things, and they tell me they're fine, but I can see they are tired inside.
We live in a world that moves to fast. Faster than our bodies were ever meant to go.
I believe in the power of small, quiet pauses - the kind that happen when you stand by the water, hear the birdsong in the trees, and realise you are breathing without rushing.
I create little invitations to take pause through your day with herbal oils, with tea, meditations, .......that help you feel a little more at ease, a bit more spacious and at home in yourself....
Everything in the world of True Sacred Beauty is created for those small moments that soften the edges of the day.
True Sacred Beauty creates space for those pauses - through botanical selfcare, connecting with nature and gentle sensory moments - so you can meet the day without racing it.
A quiet refuge to meet yourself in the midst of it all
In my late 20's while a student of naturopathy and practicing as a massage therapist in Wanaka, I became deeply affected by panic attacks and anxiety for several years.
I found daily comfort walking in nature and came across the ancient Buddhist teachings discovering mindfulness meditation and self-compassion. These became supportive allies during a very unsettling time.
These daily practices continue today more than twenty years on, offering nourishment and stability as a deep feeler and sensitive soul, in our always changing and unraveling world.
Looking back, this time in my 20’s was a catalyst for where I am today.
Home since 2002 has been Lake Hawea, nestled amongst the southern lakes and alpine mountains with my supportive husband, two beautiful children ages 17 and 14, and Sage dog my loyal walking companion.
I have continued my love of learning and connecting to the natural world, leading me to study plant botanical skincare formulating, mindfulness and meditation, sensory awareness and plant spirit healing to name a few.
It has always been there, a quiet whisper calling me back to a more intimate relationship with myself, spirit and the natural world. A deepening into presence.
For me presence is intentionally stopping and offering your full loving attention to the moment with all of your senses, free from the thinking mind. A direct experience as it is, however it is.
Here for your child’s smile, the plants touching your skin, the breathe, feet making contact with the earth, the sun on your face or holding the hand of your beloved.
It is a sense of touching life more deeply and celebrating the miracle of this one precious life.
And this thread weaves through the heart of True Sacred Beauty.
My wish is True Sacred Beauty supports you in your own awakening, offering you a quiet refuge to cultivate greater peace, connection and presence, engaging life with all of your senses, so you may walk through the world more authentically you creating ripples out into your family, community and our world, interconnected not separate from the web of life.
This moment. This is it. No where else you need to be.
With Love
